Q. The call for papers mentions that the word count should be 1500-2000 words. Is this just for the initial abstract?

A. Yes. Specific guidelines will be published on the web site for the final papers.

Q. What are the guidelines for the abstract? Should a given font be used?

A. Apart from the format (PDF) and the word limit (2000), there are no guidelines for the initial abstract.

Q. Can I add references to my abstract?

A. Yes you can. Tables and figures can also be part of your abstract.

Q. Are 1500-2000 words including references as well?

A. No, the word count does not include the references, nor the tables/figures (unless they are very long).

Q. Can I submit an abstract in a language other than English?

A. No, we only accept abstracts and papers written in English.

Q. I am late. Can I send you my submission via email?

A. No, all the abstracts MUST be submitted via START (https://www.softconf.com/lrec2014/main/).

Q. How can I edit the abstract after I have submitted it?

A. Use the code returned by START upon the initial submission to re-enter your submission page. You can upload a new abstract and also add, modify or remove information. Changes to a submitted abstract can only be done within the submission period.

Q. Will my abstract be blind-reviewed?

A. No, the submissions are NOT anonymous.

Q. When will I be notified as to whether or not my abstract has been accepted?

A. Notifications will be sent to the contact person on [tbd]. Only the contact person will be notified. It is up to this person to notify the remainder of the co-authors. As such, please make sure that the contact information you have provided is up to date.

Q. Will you give instructions for formatting the final paper?

A. An Author’s Kit made of specific guidelines and downloadable templates (Word and LaTeX)will be published on the conference web site in due time.

Q. Do the LREC Proceedings have a ISBN/ISSN number?

A. Yes, the LREC 2014 Proceedings will have a ISBN/ISSN Number.

  • 27 November 2013: Notification of acceptance for Workshops & Tutorials
  • 31 January 2014: Notification of accepted papers
  • 22 March 2014: Final Submission of accepted papers
  • 6 April 2014: Submission of workshop proceedings
  • 28 - 29 - 30 May 2014: Main Conference
  • 26 and 27 May 2014: Pre-conference workshops and tutorials
  • 31 May 2014: Post-conference workshops and tutorials
